OSP Dolive Beaver

Featured Replies

How are people fishing these and any favorite colors? I’m assuming free rig and shakey head are most popular techniques? I have one pack only fished it once on a free rig with no success. Picked up a couple more packs with the hookup OSP sale today figured I’d put more time into them. Started fishing a new lake this year with lots of rip rap and fish eating craws so think it might be good there.

Free rig or a flipping set up.

I have killed on the 4in on a Free Rig with a 3/0 EWG and a 3/16 or 1/4oz drop shot weight. The 3.5in not as much but it does work. I also like using it as a jig trailer. The 3in, I use it on a Ned rig.

My favorite color is Gorimiso Black.

Interesting I was under the impression the 3.5” is the preferred free rig size and the 4” was better suited for flipping / Texas rigs.

That's what I initially thought as well and I bought a ton of the 3.5in. It only took one pack of the 4in and a day of fishing them to change my mind.

Pics resemble Bronco Bug enough, that I would t-rig and flip/hop it if I had one. Looked it up since I haven't tried it. Only interrupting the thread not to add value but to comment that I LOVE that they offer a SEVEN INCH version. I'd never buy one...just amused that it is out there.

A funny story about forage size happened recently at the Sharelunker Program in Texas. They tried to spawn a 16+ that was donated, but failed because she ate every male they intoduced LOL.

There's a video of a guy fishing one in a pond, I believe. 😆

And he caught fish.

I wish there was a "love it" reaction.

this is my all time favorite. my best color is "Fred" which I havent seen for a bit. maybe its back.

I fished Mexico last year, and I bought a LOT of beavers. and I didnt end up using (many of) them, since the bass bit pretty much anything, so my monster bags of yum dingers did most of the heavy lifting.

now? I have a duffle bag full of OSP beaver annoying the crap out of my wife. hahah.. so I won't be buying any for a while.

I use both the 3.5 and 4". straight shank hooks with bait keepers, and 3/16 sinkers on the free-rig.

I did buy some MAGNUM sized beavers and I am going to hook them onto a 3 oz, jig head, and I will send them down 120 feet deep into the Pacific Ocean for a COD. I think it will slay them, since :

  1. cod bite anything.

  2. they are going to all go, "I don't understand is that?"
