I hit the road at 3:00 am this morning. but it was worth it. I was stumped for a bit. my confidence meter was on 10%. I got 2 quick bites and that was it. no other clues. water was gin clear.

I headed for the grass. it took very far cast to grass piles, but that was the secret!! I had to be stealth.

man, its fun to get back to bass fishing. fresh water!!! no sharks!! no seals!!

landed a few good fish, and many regular fish. many.

That's a pig! Up here we have seals and sea lions in the lower Columbia up to the dam and in the Willamette up to the falls. They are close to a hundred miles from the ocean. Man I hate those things.

apparently the seals will hop up on a kayak to get the fish. total kayak wipeout. haha. it flips instantly and goes under for a while. what a nightmare.
