I had to look up what that meant before I knew if it was a compliment, or an insult. 🤣 I'm an average angler, but I try hard to be a decent person. Thanks for expanding my vocabulary. There are a lot of things to love about that video, but one thing I loved is how she just slings the fish back with 100% confidence that you're going to net it on the first shot. We already know you catch monster smallies. Now we know you're a top notch net man for your wife.

Same. Retrieval can be impossible, and dangerous. Not worth messing up a boat, or risk falling overboard for a lure. I used to think that there could never be anything more annoying than a teenager on a jet ski, but then wake boats came along. 😤

I believe you will get them there too.

We all make occasional typos, but some are just better than others. I like this one. As for your question...I don't throw crankbaits as much as I should, but I mostly use SK XDs, or Rapala DTs. DSG puts those brands on a buy 3 get 3 sale pretty regularly. They're good lures, and they're cheaper that way so it hurts less if/when you lose them.

I thought you said you were going to catch those big fish next year. I guess you didn't want to wait. Congrats on a great day.

It would probably get bites, but if you’re going to use live bait all you need is a hook, and enough weight to get down to the depth you want to fish. The jig is unnecessary IMO. They make sprays or gel scents that are easier than catching and hooking live bait on a jig. If you decide try it I’d be curious to hear how it goes.

@king fisher Nice haul! I've never had the opportunity to eat fresh caught tuna, but I imagine it is fantastic.

There’s on called frndly tv that we have because my wife wants the hallmark channel. I don’t watch a ton of tv, but it has a couple of decent outdoor channels I watch on occasion. I think it’s about $100 for a year subscription.

@Eric 26, you may be aware of this, but in some places it’s not legal to transport fish to other public waters, even though your intentions are good. You might want to check before you try to move it.
