  1. Sounds like a great day.
  2. I don’t know the weight, but that is a very nice fish! It looks massive in the picture with the kids. Congrats on the catch!
  3. Is it month to month, or do you have to sign up for a year? If it's month to month, and I can ditch it as soon as football season is over I might be interested.
  4. I like the Strike King compact double willow. I caught both of these on one in the past year. A 5 lber in a friend's pond, and a 4 lber from the river. They're not extremely durable, but they go on sale a lot, and they work well for me.
  5. The only way to judge the recommendations it made is to fish the spots it suggested. I'd imagine it's pulling info from online fishing reports, and tournament results. We do the same thing. We just ask friends, or manually search the reports for various lakes.
  6. That's no fun to put in an AI prompt. There's one area where a human will always be better...well, most humans anyway. 😂
  7. Sorry that happened to your mom. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
  8. Sounds like a tough year. Glad you're improving. I had a good friend who had breathing problems that it took a long time to diagnose. They initially thought it might be lung cancer, but it turned out to be a fungal infection. It took him a long time to get back to normal, but he did. Hang in there, keep doing what you're supposed to, and press for answers if what's being done doesn't make sense, or isn't working for you.
  9. Well done! Nice to see your whopper plopper working again.
  10. Same here, brother!
  11. Congrats on the new PB @WaskaCrank12!
  12. I’m late for the party, but I would’ve said the chop. Hard to go wrong with either of those choices though. I bet it was good.
  13. Happy Birthday, @A-Jay!
  14. Best wishes for good results on your surgery @Swamp Girl! I'm sure the fish will miss you while you're on your break, and be especially eager to bit your hook when you get back to fishing.
  15. I keep mine in the original packaging until I use them. After I take them out of the original package I use the square boxes made for spinnerbaits. They work well for me. I use the Flambeau one from Walmart.
  16. Lol. I knew what you meant. No worries. My wife is recovering well from her surgery so I’m hoping to be get to fish before long.
  17. I talked about fishing today, but it’s not as good.
  18. Nice fish!
  19. My mother had that done last year. She couldn't believe how great the results were. Praying you'll have great results.
  20. Nice fish, @Blue Raider Bob…not sure why you’re wearing a sweater in July though. 😂
  21. IMO…there are alternatives, but there is no replacement. My solution is to watch for sales, and buy way more than I’ll ever need. DSG runs SK lures on a buy 3 get 3 sale sometimes. The bait monkey usually stops to visit me during those sales. 😂
  22. As @Jar11591said, if you aren’t getting bites try a different spot. If you are getting bites, but not landing them, try waiting a little longer after the bobber goes under before you set the hook. Good luck!
  23. Happy birthday! I hope you’re having a great day!
  24. @Swamp Girl, maybe you can disguise yourself as grass the way @TnRiver46 does so they can't see you. Seriously...be careful. That's scary. The husband/dad in me says maybe it's best for you to fish with someone until they catch the murderer. If you can't do that, please make sure someone knows where you are.
