  1. Best wishes for good results on your surgery @Swamp Girl! I'm sure the fish will miss you while you're on your break, and be especially eager to bit your hook when you get back to fishing.
  2. I keep mine in the original packaging until I use them. After I take them out of the original package I use the square boxes made for spinnerbaits. They work well for me. I use the Flambeau one from Walmart.
  3. Lol. I knew what you meant. No worries. My wife is recovering well from her surgery so I’m hoping to be get to fish before long.
  4. I talked about fishing today, but it’s not as good.
  5. Nice fish!
  6. My mother had that done last year. She couldn't believe how great the results were. Praying you'll have great results.
  7. Nice fish, @Blue Raider Bob…not sure why you’re wearing a sweater in July though. 😂
  8. IMO…there are alternatives, but there is no replacement. My solution is to watch for sales, and buy way more than I’ll ever need. DSG runs SK lures on a buy 3 get 3 sale sometimes. The bait monkey usually stops to visit me during those sales. 😂
  9. As @Jar11591said, if you aren’t getting bites try a different spot. If you are getting bites, but not landing them, try waiting a little longer after the bobber goes under before you set the hook. Good luck!
  10. Happy birthday! I hope you’re having a great day!
  11. @Swamp Girl, maybe you can disguise yourself as grass the way @TnRiver46 does so they can't see you. Seriously...be careful. That's scary. The husband/dad in me says maybe it's best for you to fish with someone until they catch the murderer. If you can't do that, please make sure someone knows where you are.
  12. I bet you won't forget that fish. What a cool story!
  13. I guess this gives me something to look forward to as I become a more experienced kayak fisherman like you, right? 😂 I do appreciate your positive attitude about what I would call a rough day. I always enjoy your posts.
  14. You’re asking the wrong crowd if fishing is a waste of time. We’re all in on fishing here. Hang in there, man. Whatever it is that you’re going though will soon pass. Get help if you need it.
  15. I've never tried their brand of line, but I have tried the tungsten. I can't tell much difference from any other. At certain times they put it on sale at crazy cheap prices so it's a good deal.
  16. Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate, but glad you got to go @MN Fisher!
  17. This is a very interesting, and informative discussion that you started @ButchA. Well done. As someone who's getting ready to get into kayak fishing there's a lot to learn here. Thank you all for adding your insight, and tidbits of information. Just one more example of why BassResource is so great. Any other tips? 😂
  18. What kind of sale you runnin’? 😂
  19. Sorry to hear that @Peacedivision. Maybe they'll get it right on the next one. @HawkeyeSmallie I would hope that a fishing specific store like Omnia would not have the same problem that an Amazon warehouse that sells a mission different things has.
  20. I got a kayak from @Kayak Koz recently. It was a brief meeting, but it didn’t take long to know that he’s top notch. I’ve had the pleasure of fishing with @roadwarrior several times. I am fortunate enough to call him a real life friend, not just an online friend. @Smirak and I are hoping to fish together soon. I’m looking forward to meeting him.
  21. Good luck @Peacedivision! I've only ordered one rod from Amazon. The rod they sent was not the rod I ordered, and it was broken. I sent it back, and cancelled the order. The customer service was great through the entire process, but I haven't been brave enough to order another rod from them...yet. Happens to me all the time @HawkeyeSmallie.
  22. I didn't see much on Amazon Prime Day deals that interested me, but there are a handful of Dobyns rods that are pretty good deals if anyone is looking.
