  1. @softwateronly What a fish! Congrats on the new PB! @Swamp Girl I assure you there is nothing but respect for Mr. Bluebasser in my book!
  2. The names don’t get much bigger than @Bluebasser86 to the BR community. Looking forward to the write up.
  3. Go @Bluebasser86!
  4. Nice! @TnRiver46 I stopped at the river after work a couple of days ago and caught 5 in 10 minutes, but they were all little. Those look like big 'uns!
  5. @Pat Brown Brown rhymes with crown. You get one!
  6. If a story starts with "A Florida man" you know it's going to be interesting. 🤣
  7. Those gators look mighty good. If they keep playing like this they have a good shot in the tourney.
  8. Only use one brand of plastics?
  9. I use an old cooler bag that holds three 3600 utility boxes, and one small terminal box. One 3600 box is for hard baits, and the others are for soft plastics, and wire baits. I keep a pair of pliers, a line cutter, a multitool, and an extra spool of line. It's really more stuff than I ever need for a bank trip, and if I try to carry more it gets difficult to fish.
  10. Smaller lures in the 3 inch (7-8 cm) size range are great, but don't ignore larger lures like a 6 inch (15 cm) swimbait, or a 10 inch (25 cm) worm. Sometimes big fish want a big meal in the summertime. I hope you have a great trip. Please post your experience on here when you're finished.
  11. Crappie is preferred, but white bass will be acceptable. 🤣
  12. I don't think you're being unreasonable. It sounds like people are assuming that you're ok with them using your property because they see others use it, or the ones you've given permission to use it are telling others that you're OK with it. Maybe you should make it clear to the ones you've given permission to that they do not have permission to let others use your property. I have permission to fish a few private spots, but I would never tell anyone else that it was OK for them to fish there without talking to the owners.
  13. I'd estimate that 75% of my fishing trips last less than 1.5 hours. They're mostly happen on my lunch break, or just after work. Lunch break trips take 15 minutes to get to the river, and 15 minutes back to work which leaves 30 minutes to fish. I also go after work when I don't have other responsibilities like church, kid's activities, yard work, etc. The length of those trips is determined by how long it is until dark. It's worth it to me though. Any time spent fishing is quite valuable for my mental state.
  14. Good luck in the big fish bash @Pat Brown!
  15. I’ve never seen a Rayburn red colored crawfish in my lake, but that color sure catches fish for me. Try it and see. It might work.
  16. @Pat Brown is back at it. Wow, man. Awesome fish!
  17. I've struggled fishing from the bank so far this year so I was excited about my first trip of 2025 in a boat. The air temp started out in the upper 30s, but warmed up to a perfect 70 degrees. Bluebird skies, 50 degree water temp. It started immediately. I hooked up on the first cast! I was pumped...until it turned out to be a drum. Sorry, no picture @TnRiver46.🤣 That was the last bite for over an hour, and the next bite was just a dink smallmouth. After the dink we got nothing for about two hours. The wind was blowing hard against the current which made it tough to manage the boat. We were getting frustrated, but things finally started improving. After only catching two fish for the first three hours, we got 8 in the next two hours. The best two are pictured below. It slowed down again after that burst of activity. We only managed 2 more over the final two hours, but these two fish are enough to make it a good day. 4 lb 9 oz smallmouth 4 lb 13 oz largemouth
  18. Absolutely. Whether I miss a fish, or catch a fish in a spot I like to go back to it. Sometimes a fish is caught in a random spot, but more often I think the fish is in that spot for a specific reason. I want to fish that spot again for that reason.
  19. Does it come in red? 🤣
  20. I've ordered from them more than once, and I've been pretty happy with everything except for the backorder issue I mentioned earlier. I would still order from them again.
  21. @Glenn Great video, as always. I just noticed your new signature. I love it!
  22. 11 months. No joke. I ordered a couple of reels, a few weights, and one pack of lures that I wanted to try. I got an email a day or so later informing me that the lures were on backorder. The reels and weights were delivered quickly, but that pack of lures took 11 months. I had completely forgotten about it until it showed up.
  23. 54 lbs? Congrats, man! That’s awesome!
  24. Prayers for good results for Catt!
  25. Throw a fastball on every pitch, and eventually batters catch up. You have to mix up the speed to keep them off balance. Fish become conditioned to lures. Mix it up with your lures if you haven’t. Throw lures like spinnerbaits, soft plastics, etc. Maybe you can get them to start biting again.
