Anyone use one brand only of soft plastics? I was thinking how nice it would be to use a couple colors of one brand. And just mix their flukes, ribbon tails, stick baits and such together in a bag. Really cut down on clutter and a million bags lol 

Keeping it simple has its merits in some aspects of fishing, I use daiwa reels only and keep rods to no more than three manufacturers for consistency in feel, but lures and soft plastics isn't one of them for me, too many good ones out there, one brand would be too limiting, speaking for myself (and baitmonkey).

Nope - because the action of a Strike King Rage Craw is different from that of a Zoom Z-Craw despite them looking similar. Sometimes it's that difference that triggers a bite.

There isn’t one brand that solves all my soft plastic needs. I can get away with 4 or 5 brands, but one is too limiting.

Nope, too many great plastics from different brands! Can't even imagine using just one brand!

I may throw a Zoom or Yamamoto all day but my inventory is much greater.

Not for me.  I can't even find one place to shop.

I wish I only used one brand but the bait monkey has a family to feed too.

If bass fisherman were meant to only use one brand of soft plastics, there would only be one brand of soft plastics.  Talk like that could spread to crankbaits.  Then what type of crazy world would we live in?

I use mostly zoom but I am ok using whatever brands works best. Really been digging crush city here lately.

Not sure I ever would...one of the things I like the most about bass fishing is trying different things out. Also at this point I probably wouldn't even be able to settle on one brand for a 6" straight tail worm...on one hand I like roboworms for a drop shot...but then I also like xzone deception worms for a shakey head...oh and I also really like a yamamoto sensei in og junebug...so yeah probably not going to be a thing for me anytime soon.

I like my soft plastics like I like people. I like all shapes, sizes, and colors because each one has something special to offer. Each bait has their own unique characteristics that make them interesting and valuable. How boring would it be if only one brand were available?

I’m the odd one in the group. I only use plastic baits that I pour. I guess you can call that one brand. There are no other plastics in the boat unless my non boater is using them. I have a big assiortment of molds I’ve accumulated over the years so I can pour lots of different baits. 50-100 fish days say I’m doing something right

Always have been interested in molding my own baits. Maybe one day I’ll give it a try or find some hand poured to try. 

Nope. I use all sorts of soft plastic from various brands. I have yet to find a brand that makes everything I like or need. Even brands that I am loyal to and really like turn out baits that can be complete duds. Besides, it's fun to try new things. If we had a narrow scope to soft plastic, baits like the OSP fuzzy dice or the Deps Cover Scat would never get used.  

If you were only talking about worms, maybe. But when you include creatures, swim baits, flukes, trailers, etc it would be very hard to. I do think you could get by with 2 or 3 brands if forced but there’d be situations where a certain product would. be missing.

I wish I could..... Some brands don't have the exact bait that you specifically want as to style, colors etc. For example some brands stick worms are better then another brand.  We also need to keep the bait monkey fed.

Nothing odd about that at all. Heck I only shoot bullets I build myself because I trust my process way more than any of the big companies these days. I took a free class on how to make plastics last year and it was so cool. I plan on starting small with a few of my most used bait molds and eventually move up to only pouring my own baits.

It sounds good in theory, but I am afraid it is just a pipe dream. I like to try stuff from all different companies, everyone is a bit different, colors, sizes, sink rate, etc. Having different toys to play with is part of the fun, and also modifying all the stuff adds even more fun.
