8 days of fishing left...so sad!

I get my first cataract surgery on the 30th and my second two weeks later. The eye doc said no fishing and no paddling. So, my remaining trips become ever more precious. I'm launching tomorrow evening and I'll be taking some pics with my clouded eyes, pics to ease me through August.

P. S. - I'm counting on the rest of you to catch your share of August bass and my share too!!!!

My wife just had hers done last month, she still can't believe how much of a difference it made.

She reminded me of what we used to hear in the 60's,  "Wow, the colors, I can't believe the colors"

My mother had that done last year. She couldn't believe how great the results were. Praying you'll have great results.

Best of luck. I think you will love the results.

Prayers for a successful surgery and fast healing.

Catch ours AND YOURS Katie? Impossible…

Wishing you speedy recoveries!!

Hope you have a quick and easy recovery.  I would have to fish each day of the month to equal one of your trips.

You've been doing what you've been doing with a handicap? You're really gonna make us look bad once healed up. 😁

Yeah, my world has been a bit blurry.

Oh Katie,   I had mine done in December a week apart.  The results are miraculous for me.  The actual procedures were incredibly easy and very brief.  The regimen of drops post surgery is the only inconvenience.  I can drive at night safely now, wear regular sunglasses and supplement 2.0 readers for the fine print.  You’ll do great!!👍

Katie, you are gonna be amazed at the difference!  Always wishing you the best!

Look at the bright side, Katie!  I had the first one done a couple weeks ago and cannot wait for the next.  I went fishing the day after surgery and my only restriction was not to lift over 20 pounds......definitely not a problem.  I was also reading and tying knots without my regular glasses or magnifiers, wow!

Umm, I lived in San Francisco in the 60's and know how you were able to see those colors.

Had my eyes examined yesterday from my eye doc. Said the cataracts are still there and relatively small and my vision still very good. Adjusted my lens with new glasses. Said he doesn't like to do surgery unless needed. See him this time next year.

Good luck to you Katie and I'm confident you're going to be very pleased with your eyesight after the surgery. It's a game changer.

Good Fishing

Katie I just had my done a month apart with one in May & the 2nd one done in June. Clear vision at a distance & cheaters for up close @ 2.5 magnification. The laser surgery is painless & heals quickly. Very easy procedure. I only had to lay low for a week after then could resume normal activity. Drops went from 4 per day for a week then tapering off one drop less for each week. Easy peasy.

Heard this one a few times before, I fully expect you to post fishing paddling pics with an eye patch on the day after surgery 😂

Ha! However, I asked the doc about paddling and he said I can't. Now, if I knew someone with a bass boat, then...

I’ll be praying for you Katie. My dad had his eyes done years ago. He said that it was no big deal at all. Went from wearing bifocals to readers after his cataract surgery.

After things become clear... perhaps you'll reconsider where you have been throwing your lures, and you're catch rate will either increase or decrease.
