  1. You’re welcome. As an aside, my “furniture” setup is all IKEA returns. We just got a new ikea here in Huntsville. I’ve been buying their returns. I’ve bought 8 of the Alex cabinets and three desktops. I didn’t pay over 50% of retail for any of it. All were brand new in box, customer returns. If you (anyone) have an ikea local, I’d suggest looking in their as-is/returns dept. Great deals to be had there. And, if you want to see ADD, I’ll show you the inside of some of my drawers. I 3d print a lot of my storage solutions (among other things) and use the Gridfinity system. If you know, you know…
  2. Acrylic paints are just fine… Bro - get ready for a rabbit hole!! I started with a createx primary color set from hobby lobby. I have createx (wicked line included), Vallejo, golden, mission model, and prob a few others. I started spraying with a harbor freight gun and compressor. I now use a couple of different ones. I have a few gaahleri Mobius 0.3mm guns, a Mobius 0.2m as well. I have a neoeco that I have loaded with a 0.5mm needle/nozzle and is used for laying down lots of paint at once, and my harbor freight is loaded with a 0.5mm and is used for clear coating only. You’ll find yourself buying all kinds of stuff and saying “I can use that in lure making”. The below is my setup. I have 2 of the drawer cabinets loaded with just lure building stuff.
  3. I had my son pick me up about a dozen packs last summer when he was in Japan. I add some to my jdm orders usually. I really like them…
  4. BKK split rings. I know they aren’t technically JDM, but at like $2.00 a pack vs $7.00 at TW. I added some to my last order from Digitaka.

I lost a fish M on a freak-o rig yesterday. I like the freak-o rig, but once through the fish M plastic, the hole is “wallered out” (an Alabama term) and the bait can slide right off. Rigged up a skinny bear with a 1/8 vmc hybrid swimbait jig head with screw lok and it ain’t going nowhere!
  6. As an avid buyer of JDM baits, I only care the cost. If it’s less than $20/3pk, I’m out…
  7. Muck boots if cold. Chaco’s or Birkenstocks otherwise. I usually launch barefooted in my kayak, if not, I launch in my Chaco’s. Then, whatever I’m wearing, I take them off in the kayak - because Birkenstock tan is not sexy.
  8. Got my first fish yesterday on the fish M. Totally wasn’t expecting it either. Was in a small creek fishing my bfs gear for 12”ers and I saw a good mama - about 3 lbs, hunting in about 10” of water. Threw the urchin out a bit and got bit. Wasn’t the big girl, but it did catch fish.
  9. Cuda, bubba or bass pro stay in my bags all the time. I prefer the 5 (or 6?) inch cuda vs the 3”. The bass pro scissors are good, but they stopped making them. Bubba are really good, but are way overpriced (imho).
  10. I fished one (coike fish M) yesterday for a little bit. Conditions weren’t right, but it was the first time I did so. I fished it with the freak-o 3/32 rig with a 2/0 wacky hook of some sort (can’t remember the hook). I’ve got 7 more urchin baits set to arrive tomorrow. I won’t catch any fish on them, but I fed the bait monkey well…
  11. Already purchased and delivered!
  12. And - out of stock now…must’ve been only a few at the price…
  13. J braid, 131, 832, sunline almight, tactx, varivas super finesse trout (I believe is the name) and probably a few others…those are all currently spooled on one reel or another. I like J braid and 131 particularly. When time to respool, I’ll probably start switching over to j braid exclusively unless something else comes along that I want to try.
  14. I was too busy to even think about fishing. However, I plan to drive to camp next year and bring my kayak for a few extra days after camp.

Dude - this ruined me. In the last 72 hrs I have purchased the following: 3 - Coike Fish M 4 - Hags Prickly Pear 3 - Yamamoto Uni 2 - skinny bear stand em ups Various rigging options to include the freak-o rig. Many different hook options from Decoy, Owner, Ryugi, Hayabusa and Gamakatsu I’ll post pics when my last package shows up. Monkey Fed.
  16. I can confirm this theory. It also works on megabass lures as well. So, be careful…
  17. Not sure how long the sale is either, but it was long enough for a 2500 to be purchased. I bought a Laguna/aridX combo last year from Academy for a stupid good price, and have been impressed with the reel. I have a spinning rod that I haven’t built yet because I didn’t have a reel for it. So, it was a no-brainer for me.
  18. You got me too…ordered 4 hags, 2 skinny bear and believe it or not, a coike fish M (squash lemon) was on the site so I got it as well. A couple of different types of hooks and some free rig weights. All in was just shy of $100 because it’s my first purchase from them, so I got 10% off new customer…
  19. Danke!
  20. Good to know…if now you could find an urchin bait…
  21. With, or without, the scooter stick?
  22. When I was growing up in the 70s/80s, we had a tackle shop in central MS that had a worm bar and you could get both the culprit and mister twister for like $2/lb…wish it was still around, but in N Alabama instead of MS…
  23. As soon as I posted that, I saw your other post about the XTR. I’d love an XTR, but honestly, it’s just too much “boat” for me…
  24. What about the new core tackle dice rig? Out of stock in most places, but they have a #1 and a 3/0 hook option?
  25. You getting rid of the old town?
