Did it come with more cowbell? I’ve been wearing hats for the better part of 40 yrs now. So much so that my “friend” at Walgreens doesn’t recognize me without my hat unless I say something to her first. I wear all kinds. Currently, it’s a trash pandas (or MiLB Anaheim Angels feeder team) trucker style hat. Since I’m a high school sports official, I have become very fond of Richardson hats. I spent 20 yrs in the military and have a short, military style cut as well. I can get burned on my head, but I always wear a sun shirt with the hood pulled up.

Do the shields just “pry” off or what?

My JDM zillion feels, and performs, much better than its $250 price tag…If I knew 5 years ago, I’d have all zillions in my stable. I have Lews, Zillion, Tatulas, Curados and even a few 13 Fishing. They all serve their purpose, but I would trade them all in for some more JDM Zillion’s. I debated long and hard about the zillion or the metanium. Quite a few folks on here helped out, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention @bulldog1935 He and I had been going back and forth on DMs for a while about it and he was the one that finally convinced me. I couldn’t be happier.

Which hook did you take off? Smith lake (Alabama) has stripers and I plan on fishing some there this year.

I saw one dinky male (12” maybe) on a a bed yesterday. I was flipping a craw on his bed and he was not interested. Saw out of the corner of my eye big mama. She was a little better - say 15-16” and was fat. Real fat. She really wasn’t interested in the bed though. One flip with the craw and the male ran. Didn’t see him again.

It has one loud knocker in it and I swear you can hear it from 100’ away, and that’s above water. I imagine it sounds wonderful underwater!

Pic isn’t the greatest, but that’s a regular 12oz can for reference. Threw it on my $110 Shimano SLX A swimbait rod and it seems perfect for that bait…

This thing is a hoss. 6 3/4” and 2 oz. Got this recently in a bento from THU. Didn’t think I’d even take it out of the package. I threw it around about 30 mins this am and it’s awesome. It is by far the easiest walking bait I’ve ever used. Wasn’t really the right conditions for it today, but I wanted to use it and see. I think this has huge drawing power and can’t wait to put it in a big mama’s mouth…

Well, in all fairness too, I usually get my TW orders the next day if I make the cutoff. UPS Ground is a one day ship from Atlanta to Huntsville. That’s what’s got me so irked…

I ordered 2 on Monday from TW. They are taking forever to ship. The UPS shipping label was created last night and I have no delivery date yet. Really sucks too - I threw off a grass piece at gville this am…

I kinda debated the same late last year. One thing that I came to realize was the steez really is made for serious tournament anglers (IMHO). I don’t use my zillion enough to justify it, so I don’t see the need for a steez.

@Rockhopper What’s your most successful retrieval method?

Called baseball in 80 degree weather on Saturday, went to dinner on Sunday with shorts on (about 75). Fast forward about 6 hrs and it’s tornado time. Fast forward about 6 more hours and the temps are 32 and snowing. If the ground would’ve been cold and it stuck, we’d have probably gotten about 2” in the hour that it snowed. Gonna be 80 by Saturday. The high yesterday was 69° and that was at midnight.

I bought the baby kingyo and the TN Shad. Had a mat shad in my cart and was looking for a few other things. By the time I went to check out, the mat shad had gone out of stock. What I will say however is that I placed my order about 5 hrs ago, but haven’t received an order confirmation yet…which makes me wonder the same as you @RRocket I added another grass piece in the order too, so maybe I’ll get that at least.
