  1. I haven't had a chance to post pics lately so these are from almost a month ago. Nothing big, but a fair number of short, chunky fish. They were biting lipless, spinnerbaits, trick worms, senkos, inline spinners, etc. The only big fish I caught is this 11 lb drum. Since I included a picture of a drum I thought I should post a nice sunset to make up for it.
  2. I should be set on rat-l-traps for a while. I bought the three colors on the bottom row, but the sale on the Bill Lewis site included a free chrome blue back for every one I bought, plus they threw in a free hat, and free shipping. Not a bad deal.
  3. If you mean lure types (spinnerbait, crankbait, etc.), then I probably use 50% of what I have. If you're talking color variations within each lure types, then it's probably closer to the square root of pi...which I believe meets bait monkey approval.
  4. @T-Billy is about to get to get serious because there's THE HAT! Looking forward to seeing #100 soon.
  5. If you're a fan of the original rat-l-trap. The Bill Lewis website adds a free chrome blue back rat-l-trap in your cart for every lure you put in your cart. For $50 I bought 8 traps in various colors, got 8 chrome blue back traps for free, plus they included a free $25 hat. It doesn't appear to be advertised anywhere on their site that I see, but it worked for me. Maybe an early black friday deal? Just thought I'd share. https://www.rat-l-trap.com/
  6. @TnRiver46 is so good he catches fish without even trying. You da man!
  7. It's hard to find a good dealer (for anything, not just boats), but it's even harder to lose a good dealer.
  8. The latest catch pic topic is my favorite thread. I love seeing pictures of what people catch. I don't care if the fish are big, or small. If it has a long report I may not read it until @Swamp Girl quotes a thoughtful/insightful line that was said, and then I'll circle back to it when I can. I rarely do this myself, but I really enjoy the detailed individual trip report posts that people do when I have more time.
  9. Nice fish. I like the design of that bait.
  10. Glad to hear she’s doing well. 😊
  11. Most of the people I know who hunt and/or fish are older than me too. That could mean younger folks aren't interested (which is correct to an extent), but it could be that older folks have more time for things like hunting & fishing. 3 out of the 4 people I have regularly fished with over the past few years are retired. They could fish every day, but I work 5 days a week. One day I hope to be in their situation.
  12. Your trips are always described so throroughly, and thoughtfully it makes me feel like I'm right there with you. You're an excellent writer, wonderful photographer, and quite the impressive angler. Thank you for taking us along for the ride, Katie.
  13. Nice fish @Swamp Girl. It's crazy how different the weather is in various parts of the country. Our northern friends are talking about frost, and end of seasons, while those of us in the south are just starting to get into the fall pattern. Today is the first day that our high temp hasn't been 80+ since April or May.
  14. Smoke on the water, full moon in the background, and sun shining on fat smallies. Looks like a good day @A-Jay.
  15. Nice fish, and beautiful pictures Katie. I love the fall colors reflecting on the water.
  16. Happy birthday, @DaubsNU1!
  17. Prayers for a good result, and quick recovery!
  18. @TnRiver46 Wow, that looks good.
  19. Congrats, @Bluebasser86!
  20. I ran this prompt for my local lake just to see what it said. It came back with the names of legitimate locations that I have fished. The problem is that 3 of the 5 coordinates were not even in the water...not even close. One coordinate was in a different state. Be sure to check your coordinates before you get on the water.

If the dividers stay down well enough to hold hooks I’m going to want some of those boxes.
  22. Congrats! Nice fish.
  23. Sounds like a great day.
