I want to replace the driver and passenger seat in my boat. Unfortunately all the seats I have seen are made to be mounted on a pedestal. Can these pedestal seats be mounted on the forward tilt piano hinge like the ones I currently have in the driver/passenger position or is there a special drivers seat made for this? Has anyone done this upgrade? Do you find it worth the money? Suggestions? It does not have to be top of the line, just practical and comfortable. Thanks.

The brand and model of boat you have will make a difference. Llebroc has made seats for me.

Bassboatseats.com carries hinge mount seats. We just put a set in my buddy’s old Champion and they look really nice.

I redid my boat interior with bassboatseats carpet and seats six years ago .Seats are very comfortable and still nice looking. 20 oz. Carpet is looking great and wearing well.
