Ok so I came the the conclusion that I need about three more rods to complete my arsenal to cover just about an given situation.

I definately need a fliping stick.

What im looking for is a rod that I can just pitch jigs with, but not so heavy. Just pitching it to visible targets, when it isnt so thick...like laydowns etc. Lots of time I will want to pitch or flip to a target but I wont actually need a "flipping stick". Would a 7ft MH action rod be good for this? I figured if I get this I could do some pitching as well as spinnerbaiting etc.

Also Ive been using frogs a lot and im wondering what the best rod would be for this. (i.e) bronzeeye frog ..etc

I think a 7 MH could cover both of these situations im thinking about...I could throw spinnerbaits with this, as well as frogs and pitch some closer targets.

What ya think?

I think you're right on the money.  A good 7' MH/F should be able to fill all those options with no problem at all.

I think a 7' MH/F should be good. but for pitching to laydowns i like a 7' H rod as well as for frogs. Your choice.  A SB can easily be thrown on a 7' M or MH. Which you much already have.

I was looking for a rod at the beginning of the year for the same purposes that you have listed and with the forums advice I ended up with a G. Loomis MBR844C IMX.  This rod has proven to be the best general purpose rod I own.  I have yet to find a lure or bait I can't cast with it (1/4oz or more) and the hooking setting power for a topwater frog is awesome.

Kistler makes a magnesium ts 7 foot heavy action "JIG-N-TOAD" rod that would be perfect

I would always go with reliable quality.

Yes Avid thats exactly what I was thinking.

I have a St.Croix premier in 6'6 M F..its also a very reliable rod..but I think this time i may upgrade to the avid

Yes.  definitely buy the best rod you can afford if your using it to pitch jigs.

buy the best Heavy action 7' or so rod you can, (I use a 6'10 team allstar for most my jig,t-rig,frog fishing) .for spinnerbaits, and buzzbaits etc., just buy a MH 6'6 or 7' BPS tourney special. I havent found a rod i like better for those baits and i have tried alot of good rods and like that rod for some reason....Then upgrade it later, after winning some money.....Have thrown DD22's on the 7' TS and its worked well also.

id go heavy ,,,, just me but you can do more with the heavy .... as for the rod its self i like the 7ft fast .... i have the legened tourney bass ( frog rod ) and i had the loomis frog rod bolth where heavy sticks .....  if you like the premieres you will love the avids .... i have the avids , premieres , legened , tourney bass ,, and legened e-lites .... i like all my rods ,, the ones that seem to stick out are the avids and the legened tourney bass rods ..... dont let the premieres fool you tho they are outstanding sticks also ,,, i just like the liter feel of the avids ..... ;D
