G. Loomis question

Featured Replies

I am looking to buy a new loomis rod and am just confused as to which one i should get.  I got it narrowed down to MBR844C or one of the jig & worm rods at 7' H fast action. I am looking more for a multipurpose rod than for a specific technique even though it will mostly be used for jigs and worm.  What is the difference between these rods?  Aside from $10.

G-Loomis Jig&Worm rods covers an awful lot of rod choices. But if it helps if I could only have one rod it would be my MBR844C. JMHO

I don't know what else you are looking at.  I have an MBR844C and use it for jigs 1/2 oz and above, spinnerbaits above 3/8 oz, heavy top waters and 1/2 oz buzz baits.  For the lighter stuff I use 843C rods and down.

Gotta go with the MBR844C love.  I use this for spinnerbaits, shallow cranks, jigs, plastics, small swimbaits basically anything 1/4 oz and above.  Love it!

I will say go with the MBR844C also. I use mine for everything. I even fish 1/8oz. shaky head jigs with it.

I must agree. If I could have only one it would be the MBR844c....................Al

I agree.

There is a pretty sick deal on ebay for new GLX 803s right now....like $250 shipped.  But that is more of a worm and jig rod vs all round.  Still, a nice deal......
