crawdad t-rig

Featured Replies

Hi everybody!

For a start, IMHO this is the best bass fishing forum on the net !

I use mainly worms (t-rig) and senkos to fish LM bass...but I confess...I'm not a crawdad fan...

I heard a lot about crawdads, were (and still are) one of the most productive lures to catch LM bass.

What do you guys think are the most better way to fish crawdads in texas rig? Simply drag them on the bottom, or give little twiches?

P.S.- Sorry about my English...it could be a little better...

Welcome aboard mate.  Your English is just fine compared to most around here.  I don't t-rig my crawdads.  I eat them.....

T-Rig will work just fine and I wouldn't drag them slow on the bottom, you might get your shoulders jerked out of socket! ;)

There are alot of good plastic craws made but I would subgest a Netbait Paca Craw Jr.

BTW,welcome to BR.

I hop mine of the bottom.

zoom speed craw work's awesome, when i'm texas rigging its what i use 90% of the time, fish it exactly like a worm, the fish doesn't care

Welcome aboard!

I don't actually fish crawdads "naked". I fish them as jig trailers.

The only one I fish is the GYCB Fat Baby Craw.

Thanks guys!

I've just bought GYCB crawdads in watermelon/black and plum emerald colors (two of my favorite colors).

Next week I'll buy the zoom speed craws. My favorite soft lures (mainly worms and senkos and trick worms too(Zoom)) are from GYCB, and I love those baits 'cause they catch a lot of fish, but they are not as resistent as Zoom's lures (less salt...).

Next weekend I'll leave at home all my other lures except the crawdads

If we dont trust in the baits we use, we'll never catch good fish!

I use Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craws Texas Rigged and work them like a Texas Rigged worm; they work great during the winter and at night during summer.  ;)
