I would go with the Abu Garcia 4600 and the bionic blade comb. This reel will still be working when you are 30. You just can't beat them in my book. Tough. The Bionic Blades are decent rods for the money, as well. You are 15 so I picked the 4600 over the 5600. You can chose whether it be in left of right hand. As far as the rod I would go with the Medium 6'6". Its a good all around rod and the 6'6" will cast lighter lures like crankbaits and 1/4oz spinnerbaits a little better than a 6'. Get a 1pc rod, and pay the extra 6.00, absolutly. I think this setup would last you a lot of years. Stick some #12 test on that reel, which is a good all around line, and have fun---Jim :( And its 134.00, hard to beat.

If you don't trust any of our opinions pm Reel Mech. He is a expert and knows what last and what does not.

I was planning on getting a 7' MH because the lake i fish has alot of weeds and about the only fishing i can get away w/ without my flippin stick is a t-rig 3/8 and up. Im planning on putting some Pline cxx 15lb on it.  Biggest fish ever caught in the lake is 13 lbs so i gotta beef up a little because my 6' 6 M isnt getting the job done for single hook applications.

Hmmm, I tend to agree with you. The MH 6-6 sounds better for what you are fishing and the 5600 I think might be a better choice over the 4600 if you decide to go with the Abu Garcia and #15 test. Its even a better reel for flippin and pitchin. You can't hurt them if you keep them maintained as you should all reels. Good luck. :(

If you're going to get a combo from bps, get a combo with the Extreme rod. The Bionic Blade is good, but after having both, I prefer the Extreme rod, I even sent my Bionic blade back and got a combo with the extreme.

If you have $170 the Citica/Extreme is a good combo ,I know that's a bit more then you wanted to spend.

I fish from shore and prefer my 7ft and 6'10 MH over my 6'6.

Thanks i was thinking 7' Mh hoping for maybe a ex. fast action but i dont know w/ 140 bucks

Revo SC and a Bionic Blade or Cabela's similar rod so you only have to pay shipping from one place.

BPS Extreme Combo, 6:5:1, 6.5 MH action rod, my former pro buddy has 8 of them he's had for 4 years, simple sweet

Get a two decent baitcasters and two decent rods.

Quanity over Quality

No way!  :(
