Just picked an AC66MHF last friday. Its my first st. croix rod & I'm just a tad excited.

They can be had for at least 20 bucks cheaper at Dick's an a couple of other internet sights

Check Reed Family Outfitters, they sell a lot of St Croix Clearance usually if you buy 2 FREE SHIPPING.

I posted this a couple of times but I guess one more won't hurt.

I picked up an Avid at Dick's for $65 ($75 on sale minus a $10 off coupon).  

I have also thought of a question regarding St. Croix's warranty.  

If I have a rod break, will they replace my old Avid with one of the new ones coming out later this fall?  

Good question. I don't kmow the exact answer, but the general response is:

St. Croix will make it right.

Wow. Wish I had some pare money floating around I would buy a few,  :-/

I've been checking bps, cabelas, and reeds, sites religiously for avids under 100, but no luck =( the selection at bps has dwindled also, and none of the dickssportinggoods around my have the avids =/

anyone know what other websites i can stalk =D?

BPS has had them on clearance for the last two weeks.  Selection has really dwindled though.
