So yeah for your open water jig fishing- (not flipping into cover), what kind of line are you guys using? Brand, pound test, type(Flouro,Co-poly,Mono,Braid/leader)?  I have been using 10lb cabelas brand flourocarbon-

Yeah as far as jig fishing goes I am thinking about upping the line to 12 or 15 myself- you have such good feedback with a jig I think a heavier line will be more of a safe guard than a detriment.  My line frays a lot when crawling along rocky bottoms.

15lb P-Line Floruclear or Trilene Fluorocarbon 15lb would be my choices.

High visability yellow braid with a floro leader. I use 10lb braid with 10lb leader, but lb test is more of an enviroment factor. Use the lb test that is needed for your enviroment.

PP braid (soon to be replaced with Spiderwire yellow). Seaguar carbon pro leader (the only leader line I will use).

I use 10,14 or 17lb XT Clear.    

20lb PowerPro. The green stuff....

12-15 pound P-line flourocarbon and seagur invisX flouro in the same pound tests as the P-line

12 lb Gamma Edge floro.
