Shimano Citica's are $70 at delos!!!!!!

I'm lining up and order for FOURof them.

In my opinion the best baitcasting reel if you don't have alot of money to spend.  It is my only recommendation as a begginer baitcasting reel anymore.  

You know they're $100 each at Delo's and you will have to submit a rebate to Shimano for each one ($30x4) for them to be $70 each.

i believe the rebate will only be honored if it was purchased at "msrp".   :'(

The guy reporting this at TackleTour is a Shimano employee.  He said you need to purchase at MSRP.

I know this is a different company...

But, last year whenever Wal-Mart was marking down a lot of their fishing stuff I picked up an Abu Garcia Record baitcaster for $50. At that time Pure Fishing had a rebate for Abu Garcia reels of like $10 or $20. I sent the UPC and receipt and I got my money.

Really, I don't think the people that are receiving your paperwork to process the rebate will even know. As long as all of the necessary materials (receipt, UPC, rebate, etc) are in order you will get the rebate check.

For instance, the bait monkey took another bait of me yesterday. Right now at The Sports Authority the Quantum Energy PT 750s are on sale for $134.99. There is also a coupon for $25 off of any products priced at $125 or greater. Then there is the Quantum $50 rebate for the Energy reels. So, after its all said and done it looks like I just picked up a brand new e750pt for $65. Not bad. If not, I still got it for $115. I'll let you know in 6-8 weeks.

Cabelas ( bess their hearts!) sent me another one of their offers of $50 off the purchase of $200 when using my cabelas visa card...so with the rebate it looks like a $100 Curado 101 for ME!

or...they'll give me $85 off a $400 purchase with using their Visa so I'll probably end up with a new Loomis 803 Mossyback as well.

$275 for a new Curado/803 Mossyback combo...can't beat that!

I saw this deal at basspro like a week back, i left my wallet in the truck for fear of spending my newly cashed check. I almost had to go out to the truck and get my wallet but i couldnt afford to do it. Maybe santa knows i want it  .

This was my first BC, and it worked great for a beginner reel.  I wouldn't buy another, not because they aren't good or anything, but I just bought a curado and am in love with them.  Well worth the extra $$$

I have been following that thread.   Now there are folks saying they have contacted Shimano and Shimano said it's ok if it's on sale.    I wish I knew what would happen before I plucked down my money.
