Which of these 2 in b/c or spinning rods would you pick?  The looks are very similar that they're both split grips & very exposed reel handles.

I've handled the Cumara & it's quite light in weight.  The look means all business.

I haven't handled the Carrot Stix, Cabelas is supposedly to carry them but they are not in stores or available on their online store.

Price wise, I'm looking at the $150 Carrot Stix vs. the $200 Cumaras.

I'd say the cumara only because i have tried one.

Haven't seen a Cumara in person yet, but I have a Carrot Stick and it's "hella" sweet. Just me...

If it was my money, I'd go with the Cumara. I just got one today and it is sweet. Tin2Win sent me 2 of his Carrot Stix to try while his holes are iced up and they are sweet rods as well.....light and sensitive, just like they advertise them to be, I just cant get past the color.....its distracting.  ;D  If they ever make them in black, I'll buy a couple of 'em.

Nah....that would probably mess with the sensitivity somehow. I do,  however, like the Skeleton reel seat on the Carrot spinning rod a little better than the Cumara spinning seat....but I'll get used to it.

That is my only knock on the Cumara spinning rods.  IMO Shimano needs to use a seat similar to the one they use on the casting rods.

I'd say for the $, The e21 is a better value.

If, of course, the color doesn't bother you.

I've been debating on these 2 as well. After handling Burley's Cumara I love it, but I also love the color on the Carrot Stix and from what I have read they are very comparable. And I can get either for $150, the Cumara's are only $159 at a shop here.

The Carrot will push my hand to getting a Sol instead of a Zillion to put on it, only problem here is the gear ratio on the Sol is only 5.8 and I would like a little faster.

Hard call. Are you looking for technique specific rod? I have a 6'9" M carrot stix, and a 7'2" MH Fast cumara, and love em. I use the cumara mainly for fishing bottom. Both rods are extremely light and very sensitive. Bounce a bait off a stump and I'll tell you if it is an oak or a cedar. My one complaint about the e21 is the grip length. A large hand will be holding both foam grip and rod blank (the e21 gold at $250 has addressed this issue). This is not the case with the Shimano which has a longer grip. Both rods carry a lifetime warranty, but the e21 is an over-the counter warranty. The Shimano requires a mailed return. Though trivial, I really like the hook keeper Shimano has integrated into the handle.

If you are basing your selection strictly on price, I would lean towards the e21, which on average is available at a lower price than the cumara. One unknown of the e21 is how well the rod will hold up after several seasons, and only time will tell.

Depends on what you are using the rod for.  If you are comparing a similar action Cumara to the Carrot Stick, I'd say go for the carrot as it is cheaper and lighter.  

And I can get either for $150, the Cumara's are only $159 at a shop here.

If that's the case I suggest the Cumara.  Just saw them in a shop near here yesterday......$220.

It is a little short for my liking, I know my 7'3" has an 11 inch handle. But it is the only issue I have with them. And they are not like Airrus's with the interchangable ends.
