Anyone know of any rod made by any company thats got a soft to mod tip and the rest of the 3/4 is heavy or med???

what youre asking for is any rod with a M or MH power and a M (moderate/medium, depends on the company as to which term they use) or MF (medium fast) action.

you can find rods with those specs. in virtually any quality rod manufacture.

Speed and action measure different things.

It sounds like you are wanting something for crankbaits (a forgiving tip that won't pull the bait from their mouths).  Don't they make some fiberglass composite rods like this designed for cranking?

I think the St. Croix Avid AC66MF is just what the doctor ordered! I consider this an "all-around" rod for treble hook lures, spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. The action allows you to manuever jerkbaits and topwater lures, but the tip is soft.

yup yall got it right,,,RW can that rod be used for say flukes also u think???? if so its perfect  8-)

I would say that the AC66MF might be a little soft for a jerk bait (soft), however I have a AC66MHM that is a MH action with a moderate tip and that would probably do fairly well with soft jerk baits, however I prefer a fairly stiff Xtra Fast (EC68MXF) rod when fishing fluke style baits as they typically require a pretty big hook.

Hope this helps my friend.
