This is a bit fuzy but it is a picture of the eye of my jig head that I pulled out of a snag yesterday.  It is a palomar knot. I just learned how to tie these this winter, I think that is what I will use from now on !!

Count me in as well.  I haven't had any problems with the palomar knot.

Woo Daves once said that if you are not tying the palomar knot,  you are tying the wrong knot.

I learned the palomar knot when I was fly-fishing for Largemouth and Stripers. It is the only knot I use anymore.

I use it 99% of the time.

Only problems I have encounter is when the jig and spinnerbait skirts get all caught up in the knot and you have to pull them out before tightening the knot.

Otherwise, it is my knot of choice.

Quinn, I trim mine to about 1/16 th. After you pull it tight there is no way that tag is going to slip.  ;)Mike

Make the loop bigger to start with and after you have it over and around the hooks and skirts or whatever remember that by pulling on the main line that you will tighten the loop, then pull the short lead to tighten the knot and then pull both at the same time good and hard to make a solid knot. Also remember to always wet that knot good with saliva BEFORE you tighten it. Mike

The palomar is the absolute best for mono and braid but it is not the best for fluorocarbon. It crimps the line. The palomar is not the worst for fluoro and it will work most of the time, but there are better options.

i use it or both it is very good.  However with the heating issues of fluoro I start the knot, then stick the whole lure underwater while I cinch it down (yes I am a knot nerd).  I even do this in the dead of winter, it sucks but I have a lot less breakage issues than my partner, who doesn't.

I love the Palomar knot.

It is the best for braided line, and simple enough for flouro as well.  But make sure to keep the flouro wet.

I tend to use lots of FLouro leaders on braided and sometimes ill use a swivel inbetween to keep line twist down.  In this instance I have to use something other then the palomar on the flouro side of the swivel due to not beeing able to loop the braid on the other side...

Other then that... it is the simplest strong knot out there!
