5:1 real

Featured Replies

I would like to pick up a slow 5:1 baitcasting reel dedicated for crankbaits.  Does anyone have a favorite one?  I am partial to Quantum reels.  Thanks in advance.

Shimano Curado 200B38.

Shimano CTE200GT 5.0:1

Although this is a smooth, compact reel, it is strong enough to fish for any and all freshwater species. I have two which I use for a variety of purposes, but it is ideally suited for deep cranking.

Yeah I like my old Quantum Competitions QG3501, they were the prototype to the EX series in the middle 90's, 5.1:1..

I have 5 of them....

Tight Lines!!!!

Shimano Bantam Citica or Bantam Curado.  The new Citica's will also work great in that gear ratio.

Ambassadeur 4600AL.Although it's a 4.7:1 gaer ratio,it's close enough with it's large spool diameter.
