I caught the dragon.  Megabass Shihru paired with a Calcutta 100DC

Wow.  These guys at Megabass are nuts. The rods they put together are nothing short of works of art.  This Shihru is no exception.  I can't wait to break it in this weekend!  Spiral wrapped fiberglass rod with the most incredible details.  The reel is no slouch either, Calcutta DC with a drag upgrade and incoming Bassart carbon 90mm handle.  That should be here by Friday.  I'm going to spool it with 12lb flouro and use it primarily with 1/2 oz crankbaits.

If that were mine, it would have saliva marks on it 'cuz I couldn't stop licking it.   ;D

I can't even bring myself to buy a GLX because I'm afraid I won't enjoy it becasue I'd baby it.

Very nice setup Robert! I LOVE the gold, it matches so well with the Calcutta.

Pffft, i could never buy a 300+$ rod because it would never get fished. I baby my Crucials and those are only 140$

A beautiful match.  Congrats.  Let us know what you think after she's been on the water.

Now if only the domestic DC came in a 101.

Robert,

My 200DC is mounted on a spiral fiberglass custom (Lamiglas blank) I built myself. You will love fishing with it, no doubt about it! Congrats on a beautiful setup.

Thanks for the compliments guys, this rod feels fantastic, cant wait to load it up Saturday!

I'll vouch for that,lol,....While I'm here, I guess I can also vouch for some of those nicks and scratches too, lol.  Robert is no mizer with his luxury gear, he'll let any of his guests use the good stuff.  Nothing worse than someone who buys all the good stuff but is afraid to use it or cries if it gets scratched, Robert knows those marks just add Karma and character.

Looking forward to trying that one now too, lol.

Give us a detailed review..............so I will know what it's like to fish with high end stuff. :)           Kistler Helium is about as high as I go.
