Big Top water Rod

Featured Replies

Any suggestions on what casting rod I should be looking at for walk the dog style baits in the 2 ounce range? I've been using a Spinnning Popping rod thats ok for smaller fish but I need to get a bigger rod if I want to go large this season and was hoping you guys might be able to help steer me in the right Direction. When I say large I'm thinking Striped bass in the 30 pound range on occasion. Would one of those Swim bait rods work?

Hey Joe!  Good to see you here.

What price range are you looking at? For your lures Nothng beats a Megabass Mephisto. :)

The Lamiglas SR705R is what I use for big treble hook lures. It really shines with deep-diving crankbaits, but I also use this rod for LC Pointer 128, Sammy 128 and other big lures. Cabela's has them on sale right now:
