Different lines with different applications.

i use cx on my spinning reel and big game on my casting.

They make good backing for other lines.

Well, both lines are monofilamentous, but not the same, CX is copolymer while Big Game is nylon so both lines behave different. As Burley said: Different lines with different applications.

I use 25# big game for my swimbaits.  Not a big fan, will probably try something different when I need to re-spool.  I use CX for backing!!!!

Neither - CXX is what I use.  Occasionally I use a nylon mono, but that's Suffix Elite.
