I need some input concerning Triple Fish Camo Escent line, such as abrasion resistance etc. Has anybody used it and what is the good and bad?

In addition need some input on their Fluorocarbon line.

I bought several filler spools of the fluorocarbon several years ago,

#4 & #6. The #4 was easily broken by hand and therefore, unfishable.

I never tried the #6, I threw it all away.

RW, any experience with the higher pound test 15 - 20? How about the Camo Escent?

He says it holds up pretty well.  Tough to tell just how strong it is, since cold steel will put forth max pressure on your gear, and breakoffs are common.  Its been good enough for at least a few 12# class fish.

I was on their field staff for a couple years and they make a great product for the cost. The Camo Escent has unmatched strength and abrasion resistance but has a little bit bigger diameter than other lines. It is still the only mono I really use and trust. One of the better monos on the market.

As for their flouro, it was ok. There are much better choices imo.

Think I will give both a try.

Caught my P.B Musky on 16lb. Camoessent. Bought a 1000 yd spool and use it on my Musky/Frog/Buzzbait setup. A little stiff but can pull your truck out of the lake.

RW, I had the same problem with thier light stuff, but there have been great improvments on their fluorocarbon line in the last few years. It is good stuff now.

the camo escent is one of my favorite lines for baitcasters, but I didn't like it when I tried it on a spinning reel. I have not used the fluoro.

I use 10 lb. alot, and it is the strongest 10lb mono I've ever used. Great stuff. Lasts a long time, and is cheap.

1 of the guys I fish with uses this stuff, I've never tried but I havta say Im impressed by its stump pulling strength. literally

Just to be honest I work for Triple Fish International as the prostaff and marketing director so I don't want to have a hidden agenda here.

The one thing I have learned over the years from my position at Triple Fish as well as talking to a good bit of other line companies in the industry is there is a huge love/hate relationship with fluorocarbon lines. You either love some brands and hate others and it literally goes through all of the line companies. As one of the guy that gets most of the customer service emails I see all ends of it and I do know that from my contacts with other line companies they also get more complaints on fluoro than any other type of line.  

There are alot of companies that are reformulating their fluoro to have a little more stretch which actually increases it's strength but it comes with the cost of decreases it's sensitivity which is one of the primary advantages of using fluoro to begin with. So there's a catch 22 with fluoro. Thats why you see companies coming out with several put ups of 100% fluoro. To be honest we have reformulated once on those smaller diameters lines mentioned above.

As for the camo lines.  They are as bomb proof as steel door. Some of the biggest names in the swimbait industry trust our Camo lines to throw their high dollar ($200.00 +) swimbaits with many of them on that World Record hunt.
