Quality of Quantum Customer service

Recommended Posts

Anybody had any experiance with the customer service at quantum? I just got a new Tour edition rod that has a lifetime warranty and was curious how they are about replacing broken rods. The rods fine but I wonder how they stack up to Loomis.

I haven't had any experience as far as the rods but I did purchase a Quantum Incyte off ebay that was damaged and seller stated this in the listing. I took it into the local shop who charged me $10.00 for shipping to Quantum and a week or so later the shop called and said they had my New reel ready. Quantum replaced the reel with a Brand New Incyte with no addional money requested.

My only experience with Quantum Customer service has been good so far

I have heard the replacement story from several people that actually buy damaged reels and have new ones sent back by quantum...sounds decent to me

It's cheaper to send out new reels than fix the broken or defective

ones. Quantum has become very efficient over the years in dealing

with returns. They sell zillions of reels with a good profit margin. This

allows them to account for problems as "the cost of doing business".

Most people will find the reels to be very good in intial quality.

I was told by a Quantum rep at one of the BPS Spring Classics a few years ago, the margins on the rods are even better than on the reels. If that is still true today, I wouldn't see why they wouldn't do the same thing with the rods.

Initial quality are the key words in this statement. :D

Not sure about the rods, but sent two Energy PT reels back for servicing after using them hard for several years.  They fixed them and had them back to me within 10 days.  The reels work like brand new.  I have also ordered parts from them with the same quick service.

I have 2 older quantum reels with the only problem was me dropping a part and losing it. I called Quantum and they sent no charge parts out within a day or so.
