Im looking to get some 25lb mono and want get the smallest diameter mono line for easier casting.What would you guy's recomend?

25 lb mono is not thin at all.  If you want 25 lb i suggest going braid or floro they are much smaller diameters for LB test

I know that 25 isnt thin I just want to get the thinnest 25lb line I can. I need heavy line for swimbaits. Does braid do well with swimbaits?

Lake Fork says their mono is thinner than the competition.

P-line CX and Evolution are also a bit thinner, I use the latest for SB.

I don't like braid for heavy lures or treble hooks, I have had a couple of expensive air snaps with braid.

I use 25# pline cxx on my swimbait set up it works fine but I'm sure there are thinner. I doubt any 25# mono, floru, or copoly is going to be thin. Braid would work fine. Musky guys have been throwing big baits on it for years. I'd go with heavy braid though so it would still be thick.

Use braid , 50 lb test braid =12 lb mono.

The thinnest mono would be Magnathin, great line if you fish where there 's no cover and sandy bottom, other than that the line 's resistant to abrassion is near zero.

Whether it's the thinnest or not, I don't know. And I've never used it. But Tectan from Cabela's is very thin. 26# has a diameter of .0138".

No. Save yourself the headache and go with mono 20-25# test. I like either Maxima or Pline CXX.

Check each company's website that you might be interested in buying.

Most if not all will list dia. per lb. test. Also BPS and Cabelas list diameter for the lines they sell. Tackle Warehouse has pretty detailed sizes also. If you can afford it, Sunline is probably the smallest per lb. test. 25 lb SN mono is .015. $11.99 for 330 yds. Not that bad.

Strength and the word 'thin' don't belong in the same sentence.

I would reiterate what was recommended on a prior post.  Strength to diameter, I'd say Tectan.  It is good line, and casts very well.  Of course, you will sacrifice a bit of abrasion resistance.

I only throw plastic swimbaits and have been happy with BPS 20lb Excel, which I also use for my spinnerbaits.  It is inexpensive and reliable.
