x2

Of all the monos I have tried, nothing resists memory like Sufix, siege or elite. I thought intially that there claim of low memory was hype and hooey, but it really isn't. I have 10# siege on my Curado 101D that I put on probably in August last year. I broke out the reel a few days ago and slapped in on one of my rods to cast around outside and I was amazed that practically zero memory in the line. Try sufix. No mono I've tried beats Sufix in the memory department.

cajun red cast.make sure it's not red lightning.

If it has to be mono then Trilene XL Smooth Casting.  If it does not have to be mono then Yo-Zuri Hybrid all the way. ;D

Also agree that Trilene XL Smooth Casting won't give you much memory problems.  Also it wouldn't hurt to use some KVD Line and Lure conditioner.

x2  I think you would like Yozuri hybrid. Its a copolymer. Not very expensive either. Treat it with some KVD line conditioner and you got you some fine, limp, non-memory line.

For mono only ...

People seem to like both the Trilene XL or the Suffix Elite. ?Here is a review on the Elite ... http://www.tackletour.com/reviewsufixelite.html

They like the XL too but they score the Elite higher for casting and low memory.

I picked the Elite due to a deal at Target fro $6.24 normally $8.99 and rebate for $6 for two spools. Otherwise, I would go with the XL $5.99 at Dick's Sporting plus $6 rebate for two spools as well.

However, it seems like braid with 4' - 6' fluoro leader is the best combo. After, reading many thread and review.

I HAVE NO REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE!

tight line!

if im using mono its 90% Triline Big Game other 10% is P Line CXX. Try using some KVD Line and Lure Conditioner that stuff works great.

I've been a die hard Trilene XL fan for years, still am.

Picked up some Sufix on clearance at Wally World last year for $4.00 a spool. This is excellent line also.

I would use either one with no problems.

Nylon will loose the memory as you fish with it and once it begins to soak in water.

Original stren is the best I have found. If you are getting coils, tie your line to something and slowly walk back from it, pulling on the line to stretch it out and tighten it up.

I have found trilene XL to be brittle with no abrasion resistance. I also like P - Line CX Premium. It has less memory than the CXX.

i love the sufix seige, but never tried the elite. what are the key differences between the two and which do u like better. From all the monos i've used. I like sufix and stren. stren tends to be more strechy.

I have used Berkley XT, XL and Sensation, Stren, BPS XPS, and probably a few others and have not had a troublesome memory problem with any of them. Generally I use from 8 to17# test so we are in the same range. While KVD line conditioner might help I suspect there is something else going on here.
