Looking for a new crankbait reel and was down to either the new Energy PT or Curado...Im not biased like some fisherman, just want what'll work best for the job.  any thoughts?

I recently switched from being a Quantum guy to a Shimano guy and the quality of the Shimanos in comparison to the quantums is so much better. Get the curado e5

Get the lowest I.P.T. if you are throwing shallow cranks.

Curado E5, I use mine for cranks, it's perfect for the job.

After seeing the new Quantums, I 'd definitely go Quantum.  May pick some up myself.

Definitely a Shimano® don't care what model just as long as it is in the 5.1:1....

hahaha, i love how evenly things are split, best advice i can give is go to the store while you opinion is still unbiased and see how both of them feel to you, they are both quality reels, but it all depends on which one feels best to you. good luck!

My thoughts on vehicles have been similar for years.  "You're going to buy a Chevy/Ford over a Honda/Toyota?     However, American cars and Quantum reels are coming up.   The new Quantums have some tight tolerances...I feel they can hang now.  

I have last year's model of the PT and the Curado and based on that I would say Curado. Notice that I said last year's, The_Natural may be true if Quantum upped their quality even though it would have to be quite a bit based on the previous difference.
