Ok guys, do any of you us the triumph, premier or the mojo bass rods? I am on a budget and am loking at one of them but can't decide. which one do ya'll prefer?

The Mojo Bass rod is an excellent choice. I own three different Mojo casting rods technique specific, No complaints at all.

I have this rod too and love it....I also have the "Wacky Style" spinning rod and its great too....for the price

I would say mojo...from my experience it seems a little bit stiffer and lighter than premier and I personally don't like the way the triumphs feel in hand

I have owned both the Premiers and Triumphs. While not my favorite rods the Triumphs were actually better than the Premiers. I had issues with the guide inserts falling out on the Premiers. This was a couple of years ago, and some other members had the same issue. I do not know if they addressed that issue since then.

I have never used the triumph, but I know its the only st. croix rod thats not made in the USA. I would recommend the mojo.

I have owned Premiers for many years and have had zero issues with them. They have been very nice rods and I have never had an issue with the guide inserts falling out. I picked up a Mojo spinning rod this year when I found out they are for now being made in the US and though it has so far seen little use it is a very nice rod as well. I wanted to try the split grip and I like it on the spinning rod, I'm not sure I would like it so much on a casting rod.

I fish the Triumph, mojo and premier as well as other higher end St Croix rods.

I think they are a great deal for the price. I actually prefer the premier over the mojo, even though it's the same blank. The Mojo seems to feel more tip heavy.

Either way you are getting a nice rod

A have a Triumph and an Avid. The Triumph was my first St. Croix. It's a great stick for the $$, and the five year warranty is a nice little kicker.

I contacted St. Croix and they did confirm that the Mojo's are currently being made in Wisconsin until thier plant in Mexico is operational. No time frame for that was given. They also said that there are no markings distiguishing the ones made in the US.

I recently purchased a Premier spinning rod and a Mojo baitcaster and love them both, although I am really partial to the Mojo.  Just love the light weight and the ability to cast just about anything with.  Mine says its for cranks and jerk baits, but I've used it for just about everything and it makes for enjoyable fishing.  Both rods seem to me to be very good value and perform flawlessly.

I read an article in bassmaster mag a couple month ago that stated that the triumphs were made in Mexico, and the rest of the St. Croix line are made in the USA.

I have the 7'11" Mojo pitchin stick and I absoluely love it. I also have a Triumph spinning outfit and really like it too for what I spent on it.

Unless something has changed the Triumphs have a sticker on the bottom end of the handle that says made in China.
