Hello everybody! First of all I want to apologize if i become an annoyance for i have many inexperienced questions to ask you. Okay this is my situation. I am fairly new to bass fishing. I have fallen in love with it though and it has become an addiction of mine  . I have two spinning reels which I use solely for freshwater purposes. I also have two "round" baitcasters which i use for inshore fishing. I love using my baitcasters but I am on the hunt for a low-profile baitcaster designated for my bass fishing. I will use it for throwing lures or the good ole carolina rig or texas rig. Some of my most used techniques are in order from most used to least: topwater plugs, spinnerbaits, texas rigged worm, crankbait, and topwater frogs. I want this reel for a multi-purpose setup as I am 15 and do not have enough money nor the transportation to have numerous rods and reels. Much of my stuff has been accumulated over summers of working hard everyday. I want to be able to throw stuff down to 1/4 oz. My price range has a maximum of $75 which is high for me as of right now and i will only do that if the item is on a particularly good sale. I have researched heavily and my options are slim. I realize that this is an extremely long post and I apologize for that as well, but i greatly appreciate and information, opinions, or suggestions you guys may have!

Welcome. You cant go wrong with any of your choices, you might want something more expensive in a year or two.

I have the Cabelas Prodigy and its a great reel and even a better bargain at the sale price. Pretty easy to setup and as my second baitcaster it was and still is worth even at the full price. I haven't tried to cast anything extremely light with the combo I have but it worked well.

I have a Shimano Bantam CU-201 for sale. Which is a great beginners reel can cast a senko 30-40 yards with a 6'6"M Rod. If you are interested send me a PM

The accurists are also great reels, I own one of them as well. They went on sale in march for $50 at BPS. Its a great casting reel with ACS which is a very easy to use.

I would do a search to see if you can find somewhere a Daiwa Procaster PR100H better known as Procaster 6+1, it 's been discontinued for about a year but it 's one heck of a reel and it used to cost only 70 dollars.

bryce, from your list, i think the cabela's prodigy is the best choice. it is essentially a rebadged and only slightly modified daiwa tierra. it is the only one with a one-piece aluminum frame which is arguably the single biggest difference between cheap and better reels. the other reels with multi-piece or composite frames will flex under load, causing them to  squeak and feel rough. one-piece aluminum framed reels stay rigid, keeping the gears in alignment for smoother performance and will last longer too.

Okay now my next step is the line and rod. For the line I think im going to go 30lb Power Pro and for the rod im thinking a 7' medium action shimano voltaeus.
