What can I do with a MH/Xfast casting rod?

Featured Replies

I use my Falcon Cara MH X-Fast rod for senkos, t-rigs, light jigs, and some shakey-head fishing.

All bottom contact baits for sure. May get away with it for spinnerbaits depending on how fast it really is. I would definitely NOT throw any crankbaits with it.

Well, you can fish just about everything with one rod,

but yours is best suited for single hooks. For treble hooks,

a softer tip is more desirable.

See, what do I know?

Don't feel bad , I learn something new here almost every day.

I've learned one thing here for sure , sometimes it's best not to comment on something that you have no experience with.

You didn't list the length.  I have a an Avid AVC62MXF that I use for sniper style spinnerbaiting, topwaters, and hard jerk baits.  In most cases, fast or x-fast rod is NOT what you want to use with treble hooked baits, but the medium power of the rod I'm using suits them.  I prefer the quick tip recovery of an x-fast rod for topwaters and other "twitch" retrieve baits.  This rod also handles medium cover drop shot applications pretty well too.

MH-XF.....like most people said, just about anything with a single hook like t-rigs, jigs, and spinnerbaits
