I assume it is in a blister package, if so, take it out, something could be rubbing on the package like the line guide or part of the handle.  I personally don't like blister packages cause you never know how it's been treated, at least with a box it's somewhat protected.

I would take it out of the package before I take it back. If it is still an issue, see if they have any in the back that hasn't been tampered with.

Since you "ordered" it, it should not have had any hanging-on-the-rack display usage. The reel is mostly plastic and is more noisy than a all metal reel. After you remove it from the package and it still seems noisy, return it for a replacement. Those reels are sold at Walmart and you can do a comparison before you return it and purchase another.

I think I understand what you are trying to say, but your punctuation and capitalization are so poor that I'm not too sure.  Are you trying to say that you have discovered a problem with a reel before you have even removed it from its packaging?  Why don't you give the reel a chance ant try attaching it to a pole, spooling some line on it, and giving it a few casts?

Hmm...

It's pretty hard to identify a problem with a reel

that has never been used. If there is a problem,

exchange should not be an issue, but I suspect

the reel is just fine. Well, other than being an

I find it odd that when some posters start a thread that they never come back and acknowledge the replies they have received.  :-?

As has been pointed out the reel needs to be carefully removed from the packaging and tried out. Its the only way to know if the reel is bad or not.

If it is bad then send it back don't ask how you can fix it, send it back to the retailer or to the factory under warranty....
