The Techna AV's are on sale mostly for $129

I think one 6' med model is on sale for $99

I've got a couple Techna AV's and they are a great value.  They really made me appreciate a good rod.  In the $100 range, they are a steal.  Makes me wonder how good the new ones will be

The "old" HMG is an excellent rod and for $59 the rod simply cannot be beat. 

Almost all the Techna AV's are sold out already.

I can't believe there are still HMG's for $60 either. That's the best deal I've ever seen. The new HMG is nice, but I wouldn't pass this up if I was in the market right now.

Man I had checked several days in a row and none were sold out. I think I last checked late yesterday but maybe not the AV's. Once out of the bag they go quick.

they still have the hmg for $69 and eagle GT for $39 but only the 7ft left in the eagle model! I orderd up a HMG... how do you guys like it so far?

Seriously, pick up the old HMG if you have a chance to. The new HMGs didn't really impress me much even though the price has been dropped. When I picked up the 6'6 MH, the first thing I noticed was that it was heavier than the previous version. The previous HMG is a very light rod in the $100 range. The new handle is  a mix between cork and foam I think. It feels nice so if weight isn't an issue... you might like the new HMG, but they are the same blank so the only difference for me is weight.

My wife 's cousin in-law and I stumbled across about a month ago at Cañada de Negros, he carried a couple of HMGs, so you know, we traded gear for a while and I 've fished with Technas, to tell you the thruth I didn 't like the HMGs, compared to the Techna the HMG feels kinda ... dead  :-/.

Those are both great rods I fished with the HMG's for years and loved them. Now I have some Techna's that I like even better. Those prices are a bargain for sure.
