sufix

Featured Replies

i was just picking up my rod after breaking the top eyelit. my buddy who owns the shop finally convinced me to try this sufix that he swears by. all i have done is cast it but it seems like great line. i am going to try it on my setup for spinnerbaits

has anyone used this line and did you like it?

Well, theres sufix siege, elite, and promix and some other stuff. The only stuff I've used was Sufix DNA/Promix and its GREAT! Stiff but smooth so you can get great  distance on it and low stretch. Great strength too.

i just picked up a 3000 yard spool of siege.... good stuff

Suffix and Vicious both are cost effective.  I can use backing and change my line every other trip if I like and not break the bank.  KVD Line Treatment is one I've found really works for stiffer lines.   Put some on a rag and hold it in-between your fingers as you hold tension on the line when spooling.  That way you'll coat the new line with conditioner as it goes on the reel.

I've been using Elite for a while now with no complaints and today I picked up my first spool of Seige in 6#. So far, I'm not all that impressed with the manageablity. It's pretty stiff for such a small diameter line.  :-/ I think I'll stick with Elite from now on.

i use sufix titanium #17 for my crankbait setup and ive been fairly happy with it considering i got like 1,500 yards for $10.00 lol.

I've used Elite, Siege and the braid. IMO, Elite has a little more memory than Siege. All my mono rigs are spooled up with Siege.

I did pick up a spool of the Deep Crankin line but haven't tried it. There was another thread a while back and someone had mentioned that it is on the brittle side if I remember correctly. Not sure if I'll give it a go or not.

I do want to give their fluro a shot to see how it compares with the BPS XPS.

Sufix Siege is good line but imho has too much stretch.

I have used Elite and Siege in 10lb and haven't had any problems. It casts like a dream.

The only Suffix line I hve used is the Sonic Braid. It is good stuff. I had it spooled on 2 reels all year and no problems with binding, nesting, wind knots whatsoever.

Sufix is a trusted name in fishing line, and their technological advances

seem to running abreast of Berkley (a tall order indeed).

Sufix produces a line for every need, but Siege is arguably their best line with casting gear

while Elite, which has less memory, is better suited to spinning tackle (it's class line).
