St Croix Legend bass opinions

Featured Replies

Was wondering what some of you guys thought of this rod, and in comparision of others you've used that are in that level of rod.

are you talking about the legend tournament or legend elite/extreme?

i have 2 legend elites (full grip) and i would put them up there with GLX as far as sensitivity goes.

edit:

im sorry, you were refering to Legend Tournament Bass. i didnt realize it had "bass" on the end. i have not used this rod, but i have used avids and i think theyre fantastic for the money so i assume you will like this rod. ive read someone say theyre almost but not quite as sensitive as IMX rods. im sure people that own this rod will chime in.

I personally thought my LTB spinning rod was more sensitive than my Shimano Cumara. Very light and sensitive. The only thing I didn't like was the reel seat on the spinning rods. It had a tendency to unscrew itself as you fish.

I own two LTB spinning rods that I use for finesse techniques. These rods are VERY sensitive and they have pretty stout backbone too. I highly recommend them.

I have LTBC70MF and LTBC70MHF and they great rods, if a little pricey.  Avids represent one the best "bang for the buck" deals out there.  I own five of them.
