Whats everyone fishing jerkbaits with?

i like a 6' to 6'6", M or ML, fast action spinning rod.

St. Croix Avid AVC66MF which has a soft tip.

I use two baitcasters to throw suspending jerkbaits, one is a Sol on a 6'10''MH Carrot Stix Gold, the other is a Daiwa Alphas 103 on a 7'M Zillion rod.  I don't fish floating jerkbaits much but I throw them on a spinning setup, I feel like I can work it faster with spinning gear, I use a 7'M-XF Damiki Dark Angel and a 2500 Stradic CI4

AVS63MXF/Soron and AVC66MF/Viento.

I throw most pointers and bigger jerks with the BC but I fish smaller X-raps, husky jerks n such with the spinning rod. My spinning rod is moderate fast, I use it for small cranks too. I've tried fast action for spinning and jerkin' ;D and it dont work for me.

For fluke style baits I use a Dobyns Champion 702sf with 10lb floro with Pflueger Supreme XT

For rip baits I use an Airrus Co-Matrix with 12lb with an Abu Revo SX

I throw my LC Pointer 78's on a Dobyns Champion 704CB and Sol. It is a great combo: light, balanced, and looks great. The 684CB would be a great option if you prefer a slightly shorter rod and the 705/685 for anything over 1/2 oz baits.

For Super Flukes and Sluggos, I like a 6'6" MH, the faster the tip, the better, and for husky Jerks or floating types, the same thing just with a little more moderate tip action. Each with 12-14# Floro depending on cover.

I don't need a hi speed reel for jerkbaits, but a good drag and some backbone is nice for working cover though.

I found out a little bit about this last weekend while fishing a Fluke from the float tube. When tubin', I like to use spinning gear, and I had my 6'8" M, XF rig with 8Lb Yozuri Hybrid. I hooked-up with a nice one at a laydown, he did a little taildance, ran straight into it, got me all wrapped-up in the laydown, threw the hook, and got me snagged all within about 5 seconds.

Note to self: Take more backbone next time. :-/

  That's some pretty tough line BTW.

For both hard and soft jerkbaits I use an older 6' Team Diawa extended pistol grip and a Team Diawa 5.1:1 reel w/ 10lb Trilene XL line. The rod is short enough to jerk down, the reel is slow enough to fish the baits real slow in cold water and the mono line has good stretch.

For JB fishing I use my treble hook set up. St Croix Premier Crankbait (Graphite) 6'6" Med/Mod w Citica E, 12lb CX.

That's some pretty tough line BTW.

Yep...Pretty hard to break off in a float tube.

For Staycee's and Pointer 100 DD's, I use a Kistler Helium 5'9" MH with a Fuego.

For Pointer 78 DD's, I use a 6'9" M Helium with a Shimano Chronarch Mg51.

For Rouge's, Husky Jerk's, etc., I use a Steez 6' M and a 6'3" M Helium, both 51Mg's.

I use a 6'6" Medium moderate action Shimano Compre rod, with a 6.4:1 BPS pro-qualifier and 12lb florocarbon. Works for me.

I'm using a St. Croix LTB jerkbait rod with a Daiwa Sol reel spooled with 10lb flouro.
