Spinning Rods?

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a good spinning rod that will cost no more than $100. It will be used for t-rigs, shaky heads, senkos, etc. with an occasional jerkbait. I need to buy new because it will be a gift, otherwise I'd be in the flea market. I've been looking at the CarbonLites and Vendettas. Has anyone had any experience with these or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks.

I suggest staying away from the Vendetta spinning rods, they may have put alot of time into balancing the casting rods, but they skimped on the spinning, terribly unbalanced and heavy.

I have both the spinning and casting versions of the Vendetta, and like Rick said, the spinning version is a bit heavy.

I would suggest the St. Croix Premier also. Great rod within your budget and St. Croix has a great upgrade program should you decide to purchase an Avid or better down the road.
