If money is not an issue, get Sunline Shooter. Best fluorocarbon out there IMO.

trilene 100% fluorocarbon or bass pro shop xps fluorocarbon.. seaguar invisx is good but it has more stretch in it than the above...

there is also sunline and toray but to me there wasnt much difference between them and trilene 100% so for the price my choice is trilene and xps

I've gotten very good service from P-line, Seguar Carbon Pro, and BassPro XPS.  For the price, especially if you get it during the spring sale period, XPS seems impossible to beat for price vs performance.  Pay attention to the amount of line you get for your money.  Filler spools of different brands have from 150 to 250 yds of line, which is a big difference.

Seagur tatsu is the best I've used so far. Also really like seagur invisix.

Triple Fish Fluorocarbon Line  ;)

It took me a few years to find the best F/C for me, and from my personal experiences and from web research, I have found that MY best lines are Seaguar InvizX and Bass Pro XPS.

F/C lines range from limp to very stiff, and I prefer the more limp InvizX. Seaguar also makes AbrazX, and some angler prefer it because it's more abrasion resistant than the InvizX, but the AbrazX is a stiffer line.

Some anglers spool AbrazX on their baitcasters, and the more limp InvizX on their spinning reels. I don't use F/C on spinning gear.

I also use Trilene 100%, but it's a little stiff for me. I will likely respool with Seaguar InvizX. The Bass Pro XPS is excellent. The scuttlebut is that the Japanese compnay Toray actually makes the XPS line for Bass Pro, and Toray makes great line for their own brand. The Toray brand is very expensive.

I don't like Gamma because it's too stiff, and also more expensive.

I used some Berkley Vanish three years ago, and gave up on it because it was mush too "coily" and unmanagable. Others have had the same experiences.

I usually avoid the cheaper F/C lines out there. I haven't heard or read very many good things about the cheap lines. I figure that there's a reason why they are so cheap.

The TackleTour reviews usually go into things like line strength, but they don't cover limpness and castability.

Good luck.

It's tuff to compare it to other lines. It's really limp and very strong and abrasion resistant. Pricey but definately worth the money. Also it is really great for leaders! 8-)

Spinning tackle: #8 InvizX

Baitcasting gear: #12 AbrazX

Note: Just bought some Tatsu #15, but have not fished it yet.

8-)

adding to my previous post...

Seaguar invented fluorocarbon, so they must know what they are doing.

Looked up the Tatsu prices, and it's more than twice as expensive as the InvizX.

I also compared the diameters of InvizX, Tatsu, and Sufix monofilament. I was a little surprised that the InvizX and Tatsu 12-lb test diameter is .285 mm, whereas the Sufix mono (and I expect most other monos) 10-lb line diamter is .305 mm. Thus these two 12-lb test Seaguar F/C's are actually thinner than 10-lb mono!!

Just another check...Gamma Edge F/C 10lb-test diameter is .300 mm, about the same as the mono.

also Sunline Sniper and Toray Super Hard Premium Plus and Toray Upgrade . in my opinion , i think the trilene 100% is junk , tried 10 lb. test and had too many break offs , was going thru stuff and just tossed it in the trash !!! i have been using Toray super hard premium plus and i have got to say i love the stuff , manageable and very strong !!  ;)

BPS XPS.

Cheap and good!  ;)

I like the BPS XPS and Seaguar InvizX and AbrazX.  But it is really hard to beat the XPS price, especially when its on sale.

Later, ;)
