Cabela's Hardbound 1 3/4" catalog

Featured Replies

WOW! I think Cabela's is letting me know that my bait monkey did them a lot of favors last year. I just received a hardbound 1 3/4" with 10 fold out tabs. It is the Limited Spring Edition 2008 catalog.

It sure is purdy.

Monkey got you bad I take it monkeymg0.gifmonkeymg0.gif

I got mine too.  That thing weighs a ton :)  It made me wonder what they spend annually on catalogs.  It has to be a lot.  Although I guess since I dropped a couple of grand on electronics for the boat, they can afford to give me a catalog :P

I have been getting those for several years.  It would be nice if both Cabelas and BassPro would not send quite so many catalogs, a lot of mine end up in the trash almost immediately.  No wonder things cost what they do.

I agree with Rob G. I called BPS last year and told them to save their money and not send any hunting and/or salt water catalogs. The response was that I either get all of the catalogs or none. Well I want the fishing so when the others come...they go from the mailbox to the trash. And I also get the hard cover catalog from Cabelas. It's nice but I never really use it.  I think BPS and Cabelas should do some surveys and in the long run they would save a ton of money.

You have to spend a good amount of $$ to get one of those.

I got one last year and it cost me a pretty penny.

I have never seen one of the hard bound catalogs.

I wonder why any company would produce such a catalog that is only good for a short period of time?

My only thought is that if the catalog looks and feels good you will use it more or keep it on your bookshelf for future reference.

Right now I get one Cabella's catalog and three BPS catalogs of the same edition.

I take one BPS catalog with me in the car to look over while waiting to see clients; the second stays home; and the third is thrown away.

I have asked both companies to quit sending catelogs, but they just  keep coming.

And we keep on buying. There are alot of folks that don't get these and kinda appreciate it when you give them yours. Come to think of it, this is a good way to get the monkey off your back and onto someone else's and "OF YOUR CHOICE". Wow, and I thought I was being kind all of these years and now I realize that I have been spreading the Bait Monkey virus around.  It's a never ending and viscious circle

Mine showed up today.

Yep. We got ours. We've been getting them for a few years. I think it has to do with our cabelas credit cards. That's a deal right there!! Bait monkey is running rampant!!! ;D ;D 8-)

Credit cards may be one of the triggers, but I don't have a Cabela's credit card so there have to be other triggers, like being a "big spender." My bank account feel it.

I've been getting them for a couple years also..spring fishing and fall hunting..Haven't recieved mine yet, going to have to make a call

I put mine in my curbside recycling bin without reading it.  The gentleman that empties the bin sets it aside so at least some use occurs.

Too thick to use conveniently.  I'm no tree hugger but that catalog causes me concern.
