have you fished the bsr852 glx?

if so, how would you compare the action and tip stiffness?

i think it may feel different to me because it is a split grip, i have fished the cumara  a lot, and it has felt  very comfortable with that style to me.on the bait casters i like the full handle and not the split grip. i think that the new resin in the nrx is more durable not so britle, i have never broke a glx or any rod, i don't bounce my stuff around .scratches lead to broken rods i think.the action is a lot the same, a little lighter no big deal.

my 2 cents

Thanks for the review... I'm nervous from throwing the coin down for a GLX, so the NRX is at least temporarily out of my league until I read reviews of how much better it is v. a GLX.

Comparing the NRX to the GLX is like comparing the GLX to a 2x4.   The NRX is that much more lighter and sensitive.  The GLX is more brittle than the NRX because of the new material the NRX is made of. Generally, the lighter and more sensitive the rod means it is more prone to breaking.  So, even though the NRX is more sensitive and lighter, it is much stronger because of the new material used in making the blank.

There is a night and day difference between the NRX and GlX. When you get a bite with the NRX it feels like an electric shock coming through the rod. I could not belive that they could make a rod that much better than a GLX, but they did. If you have the money buy one with the utmost confidence that you are purchasing the best  rod (so far) ever built.

Dang! :) I was doing so well keeping IMX and GLX out of my head. I'll just have to wait til I see them in person.
