  1. i think it may feel different to me because it is a split grip, i have fished the cumara a lot, and it has felt very comfortable with that style to me.on the bait casters i like the full handle and not the split grip. i think that the new resin in the nrx is more durable not so britle, i have never broke a glx or any rod, i don't bounce my stuff around .scratches lead to broken rods i think.the action is a lot the same, a little lighter no big deal. tight lines my 2 cents
  2. has anyone fished the new rods yet? i have a nrx852s 7' 1" spinning rod , it is bad to the bone, caught 30 + fish between 3-6 lbs. throwing the 1/8 oz scrounger /fluke combo. 2500 size reel 6lb maxima . tight lines
  3. zoom finesse worm grn pump blk , sz 1 r/b hook a small piece of nail weight in the head . 6 lb fluro tight lines
  4. i use a 4/0 round bend the ewg's pulls back into the bait the r/b slides straight up the bait into the mouth. and push the hook all the way through . tight lines
  5. merry xmas; i got some new camo under britches,a head light for the truck,a gross of rubbers and a army cot.and collar for the hunting dog. last year i got my wife a 22 pistol, she got my a sweat shirt with a bulls eye on it. tight lines
  6. hands down the 7 2 cumara 6-12 ex fast. light line 4-6lb casts a mile , you feel everything. 2 cents worth
  7. i have both , there's is big differences, the core has a very good drag you can fish heavier line. the mg50 is more lite line oriented it feels better in my hands.i think the replacement will similar to the new curado.small frame ect. in my business we have sold 1000's of mg50's shimano is discounting them to us,and allowing a price reduction. tight lines you can't go wrong with either
  8. i sent in a pair of waders that had a leak in them to the coleman company that now owns hodgeman. new pair arrived today . i am just writing this note because sometimes all you hear the the bad outcomes. i think most companies try to make you happy. thank you hodgeman
  9. try using a quick snap with your baits, tie a palomar , change bait's without retying everytime.they have them at most tackle shops. i hope this help's. tight lines
  10. i do beleive a rod soften's up with use. the better rods it will take longer . if you can buy at least one high end unit. it will amaze you,how the drags are smoother, the rods are more sensitive. tight lines
  11. fish the cumara , it is 150.00 cheaper , better warranty. i have 50 glx's if you don't get a deal on them, its alot of money. tight lines
  12. we just received them friday, i fished one today ,they are alot the same . one thing i can tell you is the warranty on the shimano is going to hard to beat. over the counter is nice. tight lines blue cat ,san diego
  13. try izor line, it is soft and very strong. the xxx coplomer is the one. the new 100 % flourcarbon from trilene is good in 4 lb anything heavier is a problem. izor is also cheap. try tackle warehouse.com if your local shop doesnt have it. tight lines
  14. mc coy ls good line. the line i'm using now is izor line xxx super mono, very good for spinning gear ,soft, small dia. very strong. good price about 15.00 for couple thousand yds. spools. tight lines
