Im in the market for a new reel.  I have an STX and an E7  and like both.  But I can get a new President for about  $68.  Does it compare well enough to jump at the savings?

I feel the Pflueger President compares more to the Revo S or Citica. All good reels and $68 for any of them sounds like a pretty good deal.

Agreed....the President is pretty close to the Pro Qualifier so $68 is a great deal

If it's the 2010 President, that is an awesome deal.  It's not quite up to par with the STX but at $68.00 it's a super value !

I would place the 2010 model above the revo S, ProQ, and CiticaE, but not quite up to the STX or Curado E7. Great reel, will cast like a champ, and is pretty smooth. 68 is a steal!

Thanks for all the inputs, eveybody!   I was getting ready to pull the trigger on the President based on your thoughts when the wife gave the go-ahead to buy a Curado 51E.   The President will wait another day.

where can u get a deal like that...if you dont want it i do!!

I found the President on ebay.  That one is now gone now, but look for others.  I honestly don't know if it was a 2010 or not, and don't know how to tell.
