hello, i have a curado, core and quantum 1160 pt and a kvd tour baitcasting reels, my question is how do you get the cover off to oil and grease the bearings. tia

there is also a series of videos on youtube where a tech from shimano shows how to do basic maintenance.

if youre doing it yourself , keep parts in the order they were taken off.

when taking out springs and clips , use a clear ziplock bag so they dont shoot off and disappear.

oil for bearings , grease for gears.

The best idea really is to have them serviced professionally. The cost is very modest ($16.20 ea after discount) and the results will be much better. If you insist on DIY, you can email or pm me and I'll help you out.

STOP!

If you don't know how to get the cover off, you shouldn't be

working on those fine reels. Get a junk reel to practice on

first. If you can't find one locally, I have an old Quantum

you can have for free.  If you want it, send me a PM.
