Well do you guys who use em like em? or not?

I would like to pick a few up, but don't want to go in blind.

Thanks!

I want to pick one up for my Crucial because it just has a standard hook keeper  :-/

They work just fine.  Do exactly what they're made to do.

I have a question about the o-rings it comes with though, are they a standard, replaceable size?

I ask because I read on various sites when I googled them that the o-rings failed after a few weeks.

Have yours failed?

Had mine for almost 3 years and still haven't had to replace the O-rings yet.

I've had mine fail.  Replacement o-rings cost like nothing at home depot.  I'll have to check in the garage tomorrow to see what size they are.

I've never used a hook keeper( on rare occasion I use the the one on the rod), the guide works fine for me, I don't really see the point to using them, can't  remember any problems not using one.

I have a few on some rods and agree they work as advertised. The oldest one has been on for maybe 5 years without a hitch. It's a decent investment.

I also use them without a problem.

Have been using/recommending them for rack and custom rods without keepers since their ***. The older ones had the o-ring problems in the beginning, but that was solved on the new E-Z Keeper systems..

Comes with 2 UV proof O-rings.

Never had a problem with the systems at all...

Thanks guys, good to know they fixed the problem!

But now I realized they have an E-Z Keeper and an E-Z Keeper II. Is there any difference?

Yup the II system has the new rings and new colors...... ;)

I had one on an Ugly Stick and I took it off and found that it had wore through the finish.  It had been on there for about ten years.
