I was wondering if anyone has used any of these rods? I want to upgrade and see if they rock and im interested in that new 3M they use on them.

LTB series

Well, I can't exactly answer your question. I've never fished the legend ., but I do own both the LTB and the Legend Elites. LTB's are SCIV graphite, the new elites and Extremes are SCVI. My elites are SCV. The elites are a little lighter if you compare same-length/power rods. They are noticeably stiffer, too. my elites are almost unearthly stiff. Medium spinning rods that are stiffer and stronger that alot of MH and heavy baitcasters. I would assume the extremes are even more, well, extreme than this. If you want lighter and stiffer, go up (I simply can't emphasize how brutally powerful these rods are, even though some people will disagree simply because they are so light). If you like a little more parabolic flex in your rods, stay with LTB. I hope this helps somewhat, since I don't know how many Legend Extreme owners you'll get to respond.

I have found this to be the case with other St Coix rods as well. SCIV/LTB/LTW are stiffer, but lighter,  than Avids/SCIII which are stiffer,but lighter than SCII/Premier/Mojo/Triumphs of the same powers and actions.

The 3 rods i kinda had my eye on are the:

6'6" MH, F  3/8-1   

7'6" MH MF    3/8 - 1 1/4

7' H F, 3/8 - 1 1/2

They also have a 7'11" MF  1/2 - 2

I feel st croix in general have faster actions than anything else i've used of comparable action.  St Croix "Fast" would probably be considered an xfast by other manufacturer.  This seems to be true from Triumphs to LTBs, I haven't used anything past....yet... ;D

Well all of this makes me more excited to give them a try    Ill get a couple ordered and ill let you all know how extreme they are!

The only thing I do not like about the Extremes is the recoil guides.  I really like the Elite series.   But both rods are outstanding rods.

Same here but everything else with the rod is top notch. TT review was very favorable but for that price range it had better be extreme.

This will be the first time with recoil guides, I'm not excited by those but it'll be alright

i have a rod with recoils.they are fantastic.i use fireline braid on them with no wear issues.they are almost unbreakable from what i have seen.they are also very light.
