big fish lure?

do you think the " bigger bait, bigger fish" theory is true.

Nah

I don't believe that clunker baits necessarily attract more big bass,

but they certainly attract fewer small bass (End Result = Higher Mean Weight)

As one example among thousands, Kevin VanDam recently caught an 11lb 13oz bass on a 4-inch Strike King 3x Finesse Worm

Largemouth: Jig or Big big big topwater, like pencil poppers.

Spots: I have caught spots from 6" to 6lbs. the biggest 5 have all come on 1/8 oz shakey heads as where most people through topwaters for big spots.

When I feel that I want to try something big, I go to a 7in Senko.  I have only caught a few with monster softplastic but the ones I have caught have been 6+lbs.
