It's going to be hard to do all of that with one rod....I wouldn't want to make a habit out of trying to get fish out of pads or other heavy stuff with the F5 rods...But I also wouldn't want to throw senkos, light spinnerbaits, 1/2oz traps, etc on the F6 or F7 rods.  

 

There's not really a substitute for a powerful rod, if you need it you need it...But heavy powered rods are not as versatile when it comes to lighter or moving baits.  I can't really make a recommendation since I would use multiple rods for all that stuff.

Black Jungle Deep Cranking w/Citica 200E that I swapped 5:1 gears into.  Was swapping hooks on some FF Shads.  

 

Now that's what I'm talking about.  Man them Cores' are just so hawt!

Just following up what Logan said. Dsr isn't powerful enough for 3/4oz and pads. 3/4oz jig in open water would be too much for it. The tip is too soft imo. EMTF would be fine for 3/4oz but not with heavy cover. I'd be using my perfect pitch for 3/4oz and pads. Honestly you're asking a bit much from 1 rod. The tour versatile will handle the weight and the heavy cover but it's not going to do well with a senko. You gotta figure out the best compromise.

I found these rods in my garage.  I like them.  Good for casting 3/4oz sinkers for trout with Powerbait.  I was thinking about using this for bass too to cast out lures and jib the bottom.  Feels like it has enough backbone to work.

 

Anyone else have these rods?  What do you use them for?

Welp, I did it:

Talked to Gary at TT and he thought that the Tout Versatile was the best rod from the Orochi XX line for what I was looking to do, so long as I was reasonable in my expectations for the lower end of the range.  Having only had cast it around the yard for about an hour, I am impressed!  A 5" senko will load the tip, but no deeper.  It will fling one pretty far and I can make short range roll casts with what I think, with practice, acceptable accuracy.  One the high end of the range, a 1.25oz total weight jig, cast very well and pitches like a dream.  I will say that my thumb is not at all used to casting lures of this weight and once I actually released the lure about 10' out on my back-cast.  I spent the most time with a 3/4oz jig and it really shines there.  Very easy and smooth to cast.  I ruined a jig pitching and casting it at the trees along my driveway.  I am so excited to get this thing out on Saturday!

Welcome to the "have a problem and love it" club haha cheers!!  

My new setup is finally complete.  Got to take her for a test drive the other day and it was just as good as I had hoped.  My DC735 + Zillion SV TW and DX704 + Shimano Exsence DC setups have both been demoted from my top rod combos and replaced with this guy.  There will always be a special place in my heart for the DC735 (probably one of the best overall jig rods I've used), but this new one takes the cake.

 

 

 

I got some HedgeHog Kattobi spool bearings on their way too for this guy.  Already put new bearings in the handles when I changed them out.

that's a nice combo for sure! i've got a dx 703c and a steez sv combo that is amazing.  i imagine this combo you've got is a dream!

It's cool, I don't mind helping anyone out.  I get a lot of good opportunities as far as deals go and I'm always hunting the japanese sites for stuff.  I found this guy for a great deal and get 30% from dobyns so I ended up doing this setup for about $600, maybe a tad more with shipping.

 

Everyone should be able to enjoy these awesome reels and not have to pay freaking $450 for just the reel.

Don't have pictures to post right this moment, perhaps later today. But as of now, I recently aquire a 6'6" Jawbone MH casting rod with a Quantum Escalade 7.1:1 gear ratio baitcaster reel. Setup ran me about $70 all together, the reel costing most of that at $50. Happy with it so far, add into that the $130 or so I spent just on tackle and lures and I've spent just over $200 this year. My previous setup is a Daiwa spinning rod and reel combo I bought in Virginia while at Chincoteague island. It's a 7' if I remember correctly, was my main big fish slayer for quite some time.

Can't wait to get this back in my hands. The factory paint on the Megabass Zonda stinks so why not have it custom painted and swap some parts.

Latest addition to my stable compliments of my wife and the fine people at the Tackle Trap, yes she is the BEST wife ever!  If you're in the market for a high end finesse spinning rod you've got to consider the Megabass Destroyer Addermine, it's amazing.  Awe heck let's show off the FMJ too.
